Berid & Schutzbank, a well-established family law firm located in North Andover, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join our growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking hands-on experience, mentorship, and meaningful client interaction within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Position Overview

The Associate Attorney will work closely with experienced family law attorneys and play an active role in all aspects of client representation, from case preparation through courtroom advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, contempt, parentage, guardianship, and modification actions

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements

• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials

• Conduct client meetings and maintain regular, professional client communication

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

• Admitted to practice in Massachusetts (or pending admission)

• 0–2 years of experience preferred (new graduates are strongly encouraged to apply)

• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines

• Genuine interest in family law and client-focused advocacy
